ABOUT US 

The founder of the company, David de los Santos, started printing shirts in 1982 in Seattle, Washington, USA. His customers were gift shops in the Seattle area catering to the tourist market.  

In 1989, he and his wife, Eva, started a t-shirt printing company in Cebu City. Seeing a big potential in the tourism industry in Cebu, they decided to create a brand to cater to that market.   

They started the Lokal brand in September of 1992. It started by consigning 36 pieces of shirts in two hotel gift shops located in Cebu City. It later expanded to the gift shops in selected resorts and later to 2 department stores.  

In 1996, Lokal opened it’s first retail shop. It started with one kiosk at a major mall in Cebu. After a few years the brand became popular among the foreign and local tourists. The quality of the designs and shirt was very noticeable. This caused the reason for its popularity. 

2021, Lokal has opened its online store so that it could bring it’s products to a much wider market. Lokal is committed  to provide high quality designs and shirts using the latest technology in the screen printing industry.
